MAIN RULE CHANGES
Failure to take the court: A team has less than 5 players present at the start of a period of play or a team delays taking the court after a stoppage.
Late Player: A player who is not ready to take the court at the start of a match or when the match is to be restarted after a stoppage or interval. Read more.

Domestic Rules Guidance August 2016
The Rules of the Game (2016 edition) are set by the International Netball Federation (INF) and should be referred to together with INF Match Protocols dated January 2016. The England Netball (EN) Netball Superleague will be played to INF Rules with no exceptions. Read more.

The international Netball Federation (INF) has released an updated set of Match Protocols to accompany the new 2018 edition of the Rules Book.

GAME MANAGEMENT
Game Management and Protocols, along with Position and Timing and Vision, form the three main techniques of umpiring netball. The term brings together actions that may be taken by Umpires (including Cautioning a player, issuing a Warning, Suspending a player and Ordering a player off); managing Foul Play (which encompasses unfair play, dangerous play and misconduct); and the discipline of Team Officials and bench players.
